Computed tomography (CT) is an X-ray imaging or scanning technique that provides information about material shape and the type of an object. It provides a three dimensional image and can identify objects that are surrounded or hidden by other objects. It has the ability to determine the absence or presence of High Explosives (HE), and to identify the type of HE if it is present. The technology has the capability to collect proliferation sensitive information so it requires the use of an information barrier.
